FAQs

Do you have ready to ship leather items?

Most of our items are handmade to order, we usually take 1-2 weeks to get your order shipped unless specified on the product page. On most occasions we may have your item ready to ship sooner than that time frame. Lead times change from time to time and are always posted on our banner up top on our website.

At times we may post certain items on our final sale/ready to ship page.

Please remember that sale/ready to ship items are usually final and don’t qualify for a refund and return unless specified on the listing. Thank you for understanding.

Which leather in your stock is your favorite or would you recommend?

This is tough, because it all depends on the person. If you need a wallet that can take many cards right now and just need it to function as soon as you open it, I say stick with our Horween option It's pricier but it works with you. It's very soft and supple, just be careful not to overstretch since this leather has a hard time going back to its original shape!

If you're patient and you want to break your wallet in like you would boots or just don't mind the journey, I say go Wickett and Craig or if you're very daring go natural veg tan

Why does my item look different than the photo?

Please note that you're purchasing a full grain leather item, we cannot control the scarring or marks that may be on your item, we consider it character and a story of the life of the animal prior. Please understand that this is common with real full grain leather goods.

Care instructions?

Please note these are full grain leather items, how they patina is up to you and how you care for your item. Some darker colors will show less of a drastic color change as opposed to something like a natural veg tan. We recommend putting a little bit of Smiths Leather balm on your wallet every 2-4 months or as needed.

What type of leather do you use?

We usually stick with Wickett and Craig Traditional Harness or English Bridle in various colors, we may at times have Horween Derby, Essex or Dublin in stock but just check our listings and stock.

Please understand that due to having some premium leathers on hand we do charge a bit more if you choose to go with a better leather.

We also stock and use Harvest from Acadia Leather, please note this type of leather is a Chrome Tan Leather.

(Take into account when it comes to breaking in your wallet that veg tan natural leather takes a while more to break in.) Commonly we use 3-4oz leather on all our wallets.

Is there a way to break in my wallet faster?

Usually we recommend using your wallet like you would wear leather boots. Break it in as a everyday carry for 21 days. This should stretch the leather little by little. Please keep in mind once you stretch the leather it wont shrink back. So be sure on how much you want to stretch your wallet. To speed up this process you can try dabbing a small amount of warm water on the pocket you're trying to stretch. Get the pocket damp enough and start putting cards in one by one and let it sit until it dries. This usually helps quicken the process. You can also do this with a small amount of olive oil as well.

How long have you been leathercrafting?

We started dabbling in the summer of 2020. We made wallets for friends and family and people really seemed to enjoy them, We got better with every wallet I made so we decided to open up L.M.L on Etsy first and now have expanded to Shopify and built ourselves a website as well as started to build a social platform hoping to reach more customers. We by no means are masters of the craft but we continue to learn everyday.

Thanks to all of our supporters, you're what keeps us going! :)
