What is Patina?

 Leather Patina, it's an amazing cosmetic feature that occurs after a period of use with most vegetable tanned leather items. Veg tan wallets and accessories usually develop the most noticeable patina, while chrome tan leathers tend to patina only slightly. Leather color of course has a huge effect on this process as well, lighter leather colors tend to have a dramatic leather patina over base darker colors like dark brown or black.

In my opinion as a leather crafter, patina is the most sought for feature in a leather item. It's what makes everyone's wallet or belt unique, below is another example of our Heavyweight belt, the first image is brand new, the second underneath is just 3 months in!

As you can see the journey for an amazing patina is long but trust us, its well worth the wait!
